Evening on Lake Austin

We met some neighbors down the street at the docks and the kids took a ride in the boat and kept themselves amused playing on the ski tubes.  It was a beautiful evening to be out on the water.

Kindergarten Rodeo

The Kindergarten classes put on a rodeo every year.  Typically, it's held outside but it rained this year so everything was moved inside.  As you can imagine, it was loud inside, but of course they all had a great time.  Prior to the rodeo, the kids made "Wanted" posters to put up outside their class rooms.  They turned out cute!  For some reason, Jack wanted to go with a "zombie cowboy" theme, so I just went with it!

The Nursery

So, here is our current guest room, which will soon become the nursery.  I have decided to leave the color as-is - it's a pale gray and I love the color...very soothing....so will add some yellow accents and I think it will turn out beautiful.  I am just trying to decide whether to keep the dark wood fan or replace it with a white one.  Thoughts?  The only thing I know is that the paper window blinds just aren't gonna cut it.

Valentine's Day Party

Jack's Kindergarten class had a Valentine's Day party - the kids each decorated their own valentine box and then they put their valentine goodie into each of their classmate's box.  They had a great time and got lots of loot!  Here are some pics from their party and of  the valentines that Jack and I made for his class.  Nothing says love like a rice krispie treat, right?
